Most operators here charge under-12s less or nothing, and most agencies never pass it on. We do, per child, on the quote.

Tell us how old they are and we tell you honestly what is going to be a wonderful day and what is going to be ninety minutes of a child who wants to leave.

Deep green river pools in the eastern Antioquian hills, surrounded by forest, where Medellinenses go at weekends to swim and cook by the water. Warm, low and about as far from a city as an hour and a half gets you.

A 1,000-hectare wildlife and water park at Puerto Triunfo, with African savannah enclosures, a large aquarium, water slides and a butterfly house. The estate was confiscated from Pablo Escobar in the 1990s; it has been a public park for far longer than it was ever his.

A cloud-forest reserve in the hills above Bogotá with feeders that draw a dozen-plus hummingbird species within arm’s reach, including sword-billed and glowing puffleg. Absurdly good for photography.

Prices marked DRAFT across the site are still being costed with each operator. You will always see a confirmed figure in writing before anything is paid.
“Community prices” means something specific here.
It means the rate the operator charges their own neighbours, plus our ten per cent, with the original shown. It does not mean the cheapest possible day — we will not put a family in an unlicensed boat or an uninsured van to win on price, and we would rather lose the booking than do it.

What ages are these good for?
Roughly four and up for most of the list, and the water days work from about two if someone is holding on. Tell us the actual ages and we will be blunt about what to skip.
Can you do car seats?
Yes, on request, at no extra charge — say the ages when you send the request and they will be in the vehicle.
Is it cheaper to just book direct?
For one activity, sometimes, marginally. For a week of them, no — the coordination is the thing you are paying for, and the 10% is smaller than what you would lose on the two days that go wrong.
What about a baby?
Bogotá is at 2,600 metres and that is worth a conversation before you book anything. Ask us.
