Two people, two roles. The guide guides; the driver deals with the traffic, the parking and the four-hour Bogotá crawl. Shared tours make one person do both badly.

Medellín, Privately

Three days in the valley with one guide and one driver who stay with you throughout — no shared minibuses, no 6am hotel-lobby roll call. Comuna 13 with a guide from the neighbourhood, Guatapé before the crowds, and a working coffee finca in the hills.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive, then the city from above

    Met at arrivals and driven in through the mountain tunnel. Once you have dropped bags, we ride the Metrocable up the valley wall — it is a commuter line, not an attraction, which is the point — and finish with dinner somewhere we actually eat.

  2. Day 2

    Comuna 13, on its own terms

    A morning in Comuna 13 with a guide from the neighbourhood: the escalators, the murals and what the 2002 military operation actually was. Afternoon free, or salsa lessons if you want them. We do not run narco tours and will explain why.

  3. Day 3

    Guatapé early, coffee after

    Out before the buses to climb the 740 steps of El Peñol with the lake to yourself, then a boat through the flooded valleys. Back via a family coffee finca for a tasting with the grower, and a transfer to wherever you go next.

Bogotá, Curated

The capital done properly and slowly, planned around the altitude rather than against it. Gold, salt, graffiti and the best market breakfast in the country — with a driver who knows which streets to avoid at 5pm.

  1. Day 1

    Land gently

    Met and transferred. Nothing strenuous — a slow walk through La Candelaria, coffee, and an early dinner. At 2,640 m your first night matters more than people expect, and we plan for it rather than selling you a hike.

  2. Day 2

    Gold, then paint

    Museo del Oro in the morning with a guide who can explain what the Muisca were actually doing with the metalwork. Afternoon on the graffiti route with a working artist, then Monserrate for the city at dusk.

  3. Day 3

    Underground and out

    A 7am market breakfast at Paloquemao — the fruit hall is the single best hour in Bogotá — then Zipaquirá, a cathedral carved 180 m down inside a working salt mine. Back in time for an evening flight.

San Andrés Blue

Four days on the reef with your own boat and skipper rather than a scheduled cay-hopping ferry. Two dive days, a mangrove morning, and the parts of the island that the day-trip circuit never reaches.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive and get in the water

    Met at the airport, tourist card sorted, straight to the hotel. An easy first afternoon at West View or La Piscinita — snorkelling off the rocks, no boat needed — and a first look at why they call it the sea of seven colours.

  2. Day 2

    Your own boat

    Out with your skipper to Johnny Cay and the Acuario before the ferries land, then wherever the water is best that morning. Lunch on board. Afternoon dive or a long snorkel on the barrier reef.

  3. Day 3

    Mangroves and the Raizal island

    A dawn kayak through the red mangrove channels at Old Point, then inland to La Loma for a home-cooked rondón and an afternoon with a Raizal family. This is the island that most visitors fly home without meeting.

  4. Day 4

    Last morning, no diving

    Deliberately dive-free — you need 18 to 24 hours between your last dive and a flight. A slow circuit of the island by cart, the Hoyo Soplador, lunch at San Luis, and a transfer to ADZ.

The Three Cities

Bogotá, Medellín and San Andrés in one continuous trip, with the same team handling every handover. Nine days that go from a 2,640-metre Andean capital to a coral island in the Caribbean, with the internal flights and the awkward logistics already solved.

Day by day

  1. Days 1–3

    Bogotá

    Arrive high and slow. Gold, graffiti, the salt cathedral and the market at dawn, paced for the altitude.

  2. Days 4–6

    Medellín

    Down to 1,495 m and 22 °C. Comuna 13 with the community, Guatapé before the crowds, a coffee finca, and an evening that runs late.

  3. Day 7

    Nothing

    A deliberately empty day. Nine-day itineraries that schedule every hour are how people go home exhausted. Sleep, swim, or ask us for something on the day.

  4. Days 8–9

    San Andrés

    Two hours by air and you are on a coral island in the western Caribbean. Private boat, the reef, the mangroves, and a last morning with no diving so you can fly.

What the 'from' price does and does not include.

Every price on this page is a starting figure for two travellers sharing, and includes exactly what is listed under that package — nothing implied. International flights are never included. Internal flights are included only where the itinerary says so. Meals are included only where named. If a package price changes because of your dates, group size or hotel choice, we tell you the new number before you commit to anything, and we tell you why it moved.

We will tell you when VIP is not worth it.

For a single day in Comuna 13 or a morning at the Gold Museum, a good group tour is often better than a private one — more energy, better questions, a third of the price. Private pays for itself on long days, awkward logistics, mobility needs, families with small children, and anything involving a boat. Ask us and we will say which yours is.
